eyelash extensions

A couple of weeks ago my daughter gave me her Christmas wish list. At the top of the list was, of all things, eyelash extensions. I had to ask her why she wanted eyelash extensions. Apparently she does not think she has eyelashes. One of the kids at school was teasing her about not having any. That she had bald eyes. One of my daughter’s friends suggested that she get eyelash extensions. That way she could have the eyelashes she wanted.

First off, my daughter has wonderful eyelashes. She does not need eyelash extensions to look beautiful, but try convincing her of that now. All it took was one mean girl and now she feels she is lacking in the eyelash department. Being the loving and understanding Mother that I am, I am going to give her one pair of eyelash extensions. Mainly so she can try them, and have some fun. At the same time though I am going to give her some cool makeup I found at Tegans Corner Store located at www.teganscornerstore.ispeedway.com.

I want her to explore all the different options, not just eyelash extensions. It is time she started to learn how to use make up properly. Once she has the skill and knowledge she will not worry about her eyelashes. She will know what to do and use to get the look she wants. If that means in the end that she wants to use eyelash extensions I can live with that. I may not feel she needs them, but if she still feels she needs them that is good enough for me. It is more important that she feels she looks her best and feels good about herself.

I guess this was my wake up call. She is getting older and wants to be beautiful. Dolls and other toys are out this year. Make up, skin and hair care and clothing are in. I might even give her a makeover just before Christmas. I am sure she would love that. She can spend the Christmas holidays practicing applying makeup I ordered from Teagans Corner Store, so she looks great when she goes back to school. Everything is falling into place. All I have to do now is break it to my husband that his little girl is growing up. That is going to be interesting.
