eyelash extensions, cosmetics makeupI can only imagine the craziness going down on Bourbon Street as I type. From the pictures I saw on the news taken during Fat Tuesday the entire block was packed with people shouting, laughing, throwing beads and tipping back assorted potent drinks. One of the first guys I met after moving to the west coast was from Louisiana. It is fair to say those from or around New Orleans have the spirit of Mardi Gras injected into their veins. He threw a Fat Tuesday party at his place with all the fixings. He had the king cake, masquerade masks hung on the wall, Saints posters and of course beads. A lot of people showed up. Girl after girl came in with eyelash extensions. I don’t know if this is common to Mardi Gras or what but behind the cosmetics makeup and sometimes masks, eyelash extensions accentuated the brown, blue and hazel eyes.

It turned out to be a fantastic Fat Tuesday over on the west coast. The only time I ever experienced anything close to Mardi Gras was this party and a college town celebration probably going on this weekend where I went to school.
