It is more or less easy for us men to keep our hair styles short and easy to manage every morning. The only time I was scared to get a crew cut was in late Junior High after I’d been rocking a parted down the middle butt cut for a solid five years. It was the hair style of the early to mid 90’s. Chopping it all off just didn’t seem comfortable. I was one of the last holdouts to keep the bull cut as all my friends went to shorter hair styles. After doing it, it felt like my head was so light it was going to float away.
One of my friends, a girl mind you, was sick of all the hair care it took to manage her locks. In a ballsy move she went home for a break and came back with hair as short as mine. It was a real shock. I’m sure she misses the old long look but she doesn’t miss how long it took to get ready in the morning. Hair length is always a tradeoff between looks and how long it takes to get under control. I go with the latter choice.
